Will my child cling to English speaking educators (if they are unable to speak Mandarin)?
It is natural for children to have a preference in interacting with particular educator (especially when distressed). We do expect that children will initially draw to educators that speak their home language, however this is usually only for a short transitional period.
Our environment will be such where communicating in both languages is natural and commonplace for all involved. The varying levels of mandarin used, will be catered to each child’s language proficiency as well as their developmental age.
